My new studio mascot

Here is our new family member "Bonnie Lass", Bonnie for short. She was the cause of my interrupted work day Saturday, when we visited the Spruce Pine animal shelter in search of a new kitty. Unfortunately we can't bring her home until she's altered, and she needs to gain another pound before they'll do the surgery. If they can do it tomorrow, we can bring her home afterwards, otherwise we will have to wait till next Tuesday since they only schedule these surgeries once a week.

Hopefully, Bonnie's presence will be a deterrent to this rampant population of bunnies running through all my flower and vegetable beds!

Yesterday I got most of the rest of the pots priced, did some touch up sanding and got them into the gallery. Today is major studio cleanup day which I'm not looking forward to; but it's a must do to prepare for the TRAC studio tour which starts Friday afternoon.

After dinner we watched the Lakers win a nail biter, in overtime - only two more wins to go for the NBA championship, I hope!

Tonight, if I'm not too tired, I'll try to take some pictures of a couple of the pots from this firing.

Till later,
June

Kiln - back stack

Here's the last layer from the firing.
Got some pricing done yesterday but still a long way to go. There was a pleasant interruption to the day - acquiring a new, tiny, furry, family member. I'll post more later today.
We're planning a lazy Sunday morning - a bagel, cream cheese and smoked salmon breakfast while watching the mens final of the French Open, then back to pricing pots or planting or both.
I cut the last of the asparagus for tonight's dinner - asparagus on toast topped with chopped hard boiled egg, crumbled bacon, and lemon butter - one of my own concoctions which Jim loves. Of course, he loves anything with eggs.

Till later,
June
