Here's a soda fired platter from my latest firing.
Today is the TRAC (Toe River Arts Council) studio tour and I still have a few things to do - like getting my hospitality and sales area set up, and do a bit more tidying in the studio. If I have time I want to take one or two more pictures of some pots from this firing. This is the first time we've had Friday added to the weekend tour; but fortunately it starts later and end earlier than the Saturday and Sunday tour times.
If we didn't have to pick up the new kitty, shop for her and get her acclimated to her new home, I would have had all of these tour chores finished by now. And of course, I've been taking many kitty play breaks. Bodhi, our Jack Russell terrier find her super intriguing, although he isn't sure what to make of her, or what to do with her!
Lakers won last night in another nail biter that went over time. It's now Lakers 3 Orland 1. The Lakers are one game away from winning the NBA championship!
We had a bad storm go through here last night that dropped hail on some local areas, knocked down trees and created a muddy mess of things. More thunderstorms are predicted for today and the rest of the weekend, so I don't hold much hope for a heavy turn out for the tour.
